WEATHER BULLETIN No. 11 TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING: Tropical Storm “#QueeniePH” (SINLAKU) ISSUED AT 04:30 PM, 28 November 2014 (Valid for broadcast until the next bulletin to be issued at 11 PM today) “QUEENIE” HAS MAINTAINED ITS STRENGTH AS IT MOVES AWAY FROM THE COUNTRY. Location of eye/center: At 4:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm “QUEENIE” was estimated based on all available data at 420 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City (11.6°N, 115.4°E). Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 26 kph. Forecast Positions: Tropical Storm “QUEENIE” is expected to exit the western border of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in between 6 to 7 PM tonight. By tomorrow afternoon, it is expected to be at 1,020 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City and at 1,725 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City or in the vicinity of Cambodia by Sunday afternoon. • Public Storm Warning Signal elsewhere now lifted. • Estimated rainfall amount is from 7 – 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 400 km diameter of the Tropical Storm. • Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the western seaboard of Palawan. • The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 PM or earlier today. • Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 480 kms East of General Santos City (5.5°N, 129.5°E).
