WEATHER OUTLOOK A frontal boundary will remain south of Macon county through tonight, then lift back over as a weak warm front later tonight into early Tuesday. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will see increased chances of rain as moisture from the Gulf of Mexico streams over us. Areas to our east and west could see significant amounts of rain late this week. We could see some rain, but not the several inches some people are calling for this week. The frontal boundary will remain to our north through the end of the week, then drop back over us on Saturday. TODAY Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon. HAZARDOUS WEATHER None expected at this time. TONIGHT Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. TUESDAY Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. TUESDAY NIGHT A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Light south wind. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
