WEATHER SUMMARY FOR SOUTHERN OREGON AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA I - TopicsExpress

WEATHER SUMMARY FOR SOUTHERN OREGON AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA I tell you what, the data and the models are something to keep you on your toes right now. Yesterday it looked like the chance for thunderstorms starting tomorrow would be growing. Well we reach today and that threat has become greatly diminished now. The low is just not going to pull its act together at this point. The result of that is a change in the forecasts from widespread thunderstorm possibilities, to now being a slight possibility over the Cascades and over the mountains in Northern California where lift from the terrain should provide enough over a trigger to get a few storms going. But, the valleys are now not expected to see them at all. Have your outdoor activities with little fear now. Could all of this change again? Yes, it could....but it is sure not looking likely. What is looking likely now is that starting with today and going for at least the next week is the typical summer time forecast of sunny today, sunny tomorrow. I also call this vanilla weather. Just no change to it and nothing very exciting happening. We will be seeing warmer temps running about 5 - 10 degree above average through the next week as well.
