WEATHER WARNING FOR TAYSIDE, Thursday November 6, 2014 An amber weather alert (be prepared) has now been issued for Grampian, Central, Tayside and Fife, Strathclyde, SW Scotland and Lothian and Borders. Police Scotland and partner agencies are reminding the public to be aware that significant rain fall is expected across large parts of the country and that conditions for travel in the above areas may be hazardous and that extra caution should be taken. The public should be prepared for the risk of localised flooding and potential disruption to transport, particularly within these areas. The warning is valid from13:00 on Thursday, 6th November 2014 until 18:00 on Friday, 7th November 2014 If you are travelling you should ensure that you and your vehicle are adequately prepared for the conditions. Make sure you have sufficient fuel and supplies such as warm clothing, food and water in the event you are delayed for several hours. Charge your mobile phone and plan your route as well as alternative routes. Listen to media broadcasts especially local radio and Traffic Scotland Radio or visit trafficscotland.org.
