WEDDING TIP : A romantic theme! Continuing on from the previous themes, we come to romantic! Another similar theme, but with lots of differences. There are many takes on the romantic theme - such as an abundance of flowers, vintage books, or scrabble letters... but Im going to voice my take on the romantic theme! Lots of pinks and peaches should be used for your flowers, alongside white or cream. These florals will work perfectly together to bring a light, uplifting, romantic feel. The best flowers to use for a romantic theme are blush and white peonies, and garden roses. Lots of crystallised glassware will look beautifully delicate, especially if you pair mini crystallised vases with single pastel coloured roses. These make perfect centrepieces. Crystallised glassware can also be used as drinking glasses - e.g. champagne flutes. Shimmers of silver also work well with this theme - for example large jugs or drinks dispensers with silver lids. You can use mason jars, but make sure they are plain. Overly decorated jars will clash with any crystallised glass. Candles are also a lovely romantic idea to add to your table centrepieces. Candles will provide a lovely atmosphere as the evening draws near. A lovely idea for the candle holders is to either match them with your colour scheme, be painted with a rustic silver look, or be plain glass (possibly wrapped tightly in with ribbon, without the bow). Wooden chairs with a simple cushion for the main table seating would suit this theme well. Bows or trails of fabric can be tied around these chairs for a perfect romantic touch. You can use vintage armchairs in extra spaces for a more comfortable and relaxed seating area. Keep your cake simple with 3-4 tiers, and a handful of flowers to match the rest of your floral decor. Your invitations should match the overall theme of your decor. They can be a little more flamboyant than a simple card, and can even feature a monogram (if you choose to have one). You can give your tables names, instead of numbers, based on places you have both been, or books/songs that you both love. This will give a personal feeling to your day. There are plenty of options for a romantic wedding, so make sure you research well. Pinterest will help you work though your ideas. Enjoy!
