WEEKEND TIME! Our Storm... one of the biggest & strongest of the Winter is finally kicking out. You can view the complete Storm Summaries for Newfoundland & Labrador here: Winds will continue to ease through the day today across NL and the Sunshine takes over for everyone this afternoon... but not for long. Your Weekend Highlights are posted below... TONIGHT-SATURDAY A system sliding in from the West will spread Snow across most of the Province tonight and into Saturday. Well see a few cm across Western Labrador, a trace in the East and generally 2-5 cm of Snow across Newfoundland overnight and into Saturday morning. From Stephenville across to Clarenville to St. Johns & areas South will see a mix over to some freezing rain on Saturday morning, before temps rise above zero on Saturday afternoon with a few lingering showers. Aft Highs +1 to +4 for most of Newfoundland on Saturday afternoon. SUNDAY For most of Sunday, an area of High pressure anchored over Labrador will keep some early Sunshine in the mix across NL. However yet another system sliding in from the West will be knocking on the door, building the clouds and even some afternoon flurries for West into Central & Southern Newfoundland. Temps near the freezing mark for the Island. Highs -3 to -5 in Labrador. SUNDAY NIGHT/MONDAY Itll be the ultimate showdown between an area high pressure anchored to the North and a low tracking just South... with Newfoundland looking set to be caught in the middle of a messy mix to begin next week. Forecast models are having a tough time nailing down just how strong that high & low will be and as a result just exactly what well be seeing in terms of precipitation. However early thinking is that much of the Island, but especially Southern sections could be seeing a hardy taste of Snow, Ice Pellets, Freezing Rain & Rain beginning Sunday night into Monday and possibly holding through Tuesday.
