WEEKLY WRITE-UP A short but sweet write-up this week, everyone is riding like true champions and I love my job! Tuesdays lesson was tricky for everyone; Angelina tested Lulu to her max and Lulu did an excellent job controlling her and controlling her own emotions (Angelina has that effect on her riders). Noah accidently performed his first canter in the big arena with a perfect position, Jeremy is so close to cantering as he showed off his amazing sitting trot, Kate did really well steering Musket, Lauren managed to find her inner thigh muscles and was forced to do rising walk without her stirrups and then sitting trot on Mally, Emily rode Billy again with great improvement and showed us all how much she has improved her riding skills with her legs in the correct position for the entire lesson. I like it when riders struggle and they should never leave feeling frustrated or disappointed because those rides are when riders learn the most. BEST RIDERS: Wow what a tricky week choosing my best riders! My long list of riders to choose from: Lulu, Rachel, Eliesha, Tahlia, Isabella, Romy, Jack, Bella and Sarah. There are 3 this week: Bella for riding Angelina so perfectly that we didnt need to put the side reins on her and she just trotted in-hand next to her leader without pulling. Well done Bella. Tahlia for riding the best she has ridden this year with great 2-point position over the jumps and not loosing her balance. Isabella for cantering over canter poles then loosing one stirrup, continuing over the jump loosing her other stirrup and staying on for another 40m in trot before stopping Dillan. What a great bit of riding Isabella you have learnt so much this year and today showed us all that you have taken on board everything I have said. That was one of the best coping strategies I have seen for a long time with no brain getting in the way, pure excellence! If everyone coped like that my eyebrows wouldnt be turning grey!!!!!
