WELCOME TO OUR OFFICIAL FACEBOOK PAGE Cosmopolitan Microfinance Bank was set up by a team comprising of accomplished business persons and professional bankers and was incorporated as a wholly indeginous limited liability company on the 3rd of October, 2007. This was after obtaining an Approval In Principle from the Central Bank Of Nigeria (CBN) to set up a Microfinance Bank on the 7th of August, 2007. The final approval to commence banking business was granted by the CBN on the 12th of May, 2008 with an authorized share capital of N100 million divided into N100million ordinary shares. Plans are underway to increase our share capital to a minimum of N300 million by the first quarter of 2009. Our mission is to provide a platform for the low income but economically active member of the society, to enable them actualize their productive and entrepreneurial potentials, most especially in our immediate operating environment (Niger Delta). Special attention will be given to the women and aspiring youth engaged in economically productive activities. It is our desire to bring financial services to the doorsteps of low income an medium sized business people with the hope of strengthening their productive capabilities thereby reducing poverty among our people. To achieve these lofty objectives, Cosmopolitan Microfinance Bank will provide credit services through the time tested Group lending model by encouraging and promoting the formation of, market association, co-operative and self help groups to accommodate customers outside the aforementioned groups. We shall also provide convenient, accessible, safe and profitable savings products to our customers, in addition to financial advisory services and capability building initiatives.
