WELL. It has been QUITE a few days in Bri’s kitchen this week…. ….my *SECRET* recipe chili is all simmered and ready for our chili half-smoke cook-out tomorrow afternoon; home-made pasta salad chillin’ and gettin’ all delectably scrumptious in the fridge, readying to be a proper accompaniment to the spicy, savory half-smokes; shrimp swimming in my own sweet ’n’ spicy marinade for “Mama Bear’s (that’s me, by the by) Shrimp and Cheese Grits” later tonight; my proprietary cheesecake bars baked, cooled, and cut into delicious not-too-big (but big enough!) squares, now taking comfort in the freezer, just awaiting Drew’s sticky little fingers; “Brownie Peanut Butter ‘Surprises’” frosted with my from-scratch peanut butter icing and packaged all pretty-like for our pal, Sam’s, belated (horrors!) birthday; and the yummy egg and bacon filling has been prepared and is groovin’ in the fridge, all ready for tomorrow morning’s “Muffin Melts”…. ….my FAVORITE kind of week.
