WERE BACK! Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend! Regular class schedule this week. Remember, testing is NEXT WEEK so were gonna be kicking into high gear! Parents remember, if your child has ONE YELLOW STRIPE (2 for Black Belts) and 5 BLACK (red or white for Black Belts) STRIPES they are READY for testing! If you have any doubts about this whatsoever, PLEASE talk to an instructor. YELLOW BELT PARENTS: Deadline to measure for sparring gear is THIS MONDAY JUNE 2ND. Try not to wait until the last day so get it done after your class this week (if you havent already. If you have, great job!). Remember that if your child is not measured for sparring gear by Monday, there is no guarantee they will have their bag in time for the Green Belt Sparring Clinic. BLACK BELT PARENTS: Its almost here! The Black Belt Extravaganza! Start making plans NOW for friends and family to attend on Saturday June 7th at 1:00 pm. It is going to be an awesome experience, so please do not miss out! Remember that this testing is meant to be harder and more challenging than the past black belt testings. We are doing it this way to emphasize the importance of being a Black Belt, and for all of you to see a difference in performance level. Were excited and we hope you are too! Dont forget that you MUST measure your belt by THIS SATURDAY MAY 31ST! If youve done so already, great job! If you havent, remember that if your belt is not measured by the deadline, it will be a $35 late fee and there is no guarantee that you will have your belt at the Awards Ceremony. After a huge testing like that, who wouldnt want their belt at the ceremony?? So make sure we get that done by THIS Saturday! INSTRUCTOR TEAM: Dont forget that, TUESDAY JUNE 10TH, we are going to be headed to Tuscaloosa for their Extravaganza and to watch 8th Degree Black Belt Grand Master James Bailey, Senior Master Chris Jackson, and Master Michael Holt perform demonstrations. It is guaranteed to be an AMAZING experience to see so bring your camera! Also remember, as instructors we are ambassadors of our academy, so when we enter a new place filled with high ranks, you are to set a good example and be the first to bow and introduce yourself. Make the effort to go up to them, dont wait for them to come to you. It is going to take place at Echols Middle School. (STUDENTS: if you CANNOT make the June 7th testing date for WHATEVER REASON, testing in Tuscaloosa will be the ONLY way to makeup this testing if you dont want to wait until October). SUMMER CAMP: Remember, that last day to register for our summer camp WITH THE $199 SPECIAL (not the last day to register period) is JUNE 1ST. This week is going to be great and we are all so excited to get back out on the mat and start teaching! Lets finish this cycle with a bang, and start getting ready for the 2014 TIGER ROCK WORLD TOURNAMENT here in BIRMINGHAM, AL in July!
