WERE GOING TO MAKE IT WITH DAD UPDATE: Surrender!!! (Chronicling The Faith The Size of A Mustard Seed) So many thoughts, so much to say, but only willing to say what God wants me to say! Mom met her new neurologist yesterday. They will be doing further testing regarding her MS and medication treatment the following week. Very intelligent doctor who said, Im sorry to hear what is happening in your life right now, but YOU are my patient! I am here to care for you! Dad was admitted today after two days of fatigue, weakness, and loss of strength. Cancer makes you sick! I think sometimes that is forgotten. Dad said this afternoon, I thought I would be feeling better by now! Really??? Radiation is still working in the brain, still waiting for the biopsy to come back on the lung, and no results on the bone scan yet. No lung biopsy results = no treatment. Why is this important, well, if you have gall stone, you dont want to be treated for a kidney stone. It still may be a stone, but two different treatments. I believe many patients and their support people forget that healing comes with treatment. Tonight I was thinking about baseball. Personally, I never was good at baseball or softball. Didnt matter how little or big the ball was, I couldnt hit. However, on the very rare occasion that I did, I ran as fast as I could to first. Oh to be safe at 1st. Well to a pro thats a pretty good adrenalin pump, but NOT to the one who isnt good at playing baseball. All you can see is you have three more bases until you are truly safe at Home Plate! If only we could run from 1st to Home I thought! Wouldnt that be a shorter route! And then I was reminded that usually only happens when you have fouled out and then the run to 1st isnt only not considered safe, but it doesnt even count! Bottom line is when its our turn to step up to the plate and swing, we all want to hit. We dont want to miss! We want our swing to count and when it doesnt we get discouraged. Then for those of us who finally do make contact, were already thinking how to get to Home Plate! All I can say is this Tour has made it to 1st base. We still have two other bases to run through before we get to touch the final plate at Home. I dont know what game youre playing and what base youre on, but I can tell you that if you are playing this game in Faith of Jesus Christ, the devil seeks to destroy your testimony! He takes every team and tries to divide and conquer. Every baseball team must play like a team to have any chance at winning. If they play against one another, they will fail and lose! Faith can never be tested in a foul! A foul is only good for two strikes and then you can hit and hit and hit, but with every foul a player hits, it just keeps the game going longer tiring both the pitcher and the hitter out. So make your pitches count! Make your hits count! Run ALL the bases! Dont try to skip any, because once your in the game of Faith, You MUST Follow Through To The End! Otherwise, you havent LIVED OUT Your Faith IN Jesus! Over the last two days, the devil or his minions have had a blast in our game. I wont give him any type of honor or respect in repeating how, but a friend reminded me of what Jesus said to Peter 22:31 Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers. Peter was sifted like wheat by Satan. He denied Jesus three times before Jesus crucifixion. But listen to how Jesus told Peter ahead of time that he would be tested. He also told him how he would fail. Then Jesus reassured Peter that He would not leave him and that He would pray for him! Jesus prayed for Peter! Gods Son even told him the ending, once you have turned again. And if that wasnt enough, Jesus then followed up with more instructions for Peter, Strengthen your brothers. Wow, God! Really! Youre going to allow the devil to come at me, I am going to suffer through it, and then Youre going to put me back to work again strengthening others! Are you kidding me! Jesus had to heal Peter after Satan had slammed him. Living out your faith requires trust and healing. Jesus was tempted by Satan and had several up close encounters with evil in the Garden after fasting for 40 days and 40 nights. Jesus in human form was weak, exhausted, and not in strong body form to be prepared for a meeting with Satan. Isnt that when Satan usually attacks us. When we are weak, tired, and exhausted. Isnt that when our faith is really tested. Isnt it during those times when anyone could deny Christ, even a Christian, a Believer. What happened after Jesus was tempted. The angels attended Him! Jesus said to him, Away from Me, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only. Then the devil left Him, and angels came and attended Him. - Matthew 4:11 All I can say is this, if Jesus needed to be cared for by angels in His human form and needed to time to heal, then I definitely do!!! Jesus knew the weakness of my flesh and all of our flesh!!! We do not make war with flesh and blood as the bible says, meaning people, but our war is with the unseen world of evil. I will share the scripture God gave me during this last two days and I have meditated on it day and night, Psalm 105:1-7 GIVE PRAISE to the Lord, PROCLAIM His Name; Make known among the nations what He has done. Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; TELL of all His wonderful acts. Glory in His holy Name; Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. LOOK to the Lord and His strength; SEEK His face always. REMEMBER the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced, you His servants, the descendants of Abraham, His chosen ones, the children of Jacob. He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth. The devil is jealous that many of you are reading Gods Story inside Dads Story! Every day he knows I give God praise whether quietly in my room or on facebook or with someone on the street. I have no problem with telling others how much Jesus Loves them. We need to hear it and Know it!!! You will not hear it or see it on the evening news! I cannot fight any battle without Jesus! Exclamation Point! I am NOT God!!! I am Laura! Just little me who stumbles, bruises, cries, whines, and complains, laughs her way through pain, and gets frustrated, tired, and weak. I have sinned, will sin again, and wont be perfect until I read Home Plate! Heaven! And guess what, you wont be perfect until you reach Home Plate either! Be prepared to get sifted like wheat and have your faith tested! Do you even know if you have faith? God may want you to know that you do, so be ready! He is praying for you!!!
