WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- A nanny was arrested for child endangerment after a hidden camera captured her continuously slapping two 11-month-old babies. 30-year-old Heather Cooley was hired by an Ohio couple after they found her on Care. The mother says she had no history and everything checked out so they hired her to babysit their twin babies, ABC22 reports. But the couple became suspicious of their twins behavior after Cooley had been watching them so they set up a nanny cam. Days after installing the camera they discovered something no parent should ever witness. We heard the smacking of my daughter, shortly after that we heard smacking of my son, who instantly started crying, the parent said. The parents filed a report with police after seeing the horrific video. Cooley was arrested but only charged with one count of child endangerment. It seems logical to me that would be you know two counts, because its pretty clear on video that you hear her assaulting both of their children. When we talked to the officer, he wasnt sure if the charges would be brought. He said he would give it to prosecutors to review and then they would go from there, the mother said. It is unknown if Cooley will face any more charges. For now, the parents want others to be careful when using online nanny sites.
