* WESTERN AUSTRALIA SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING * for damaging winds, large hail and heavy rainfall for the Gascoyne, Goldfields and Central Wheat Belt forecast districts Issued at 1:38 pm WST on Wednesday 12 November 2014. For people in parts of WA bounded by a line from Southern Cross to Meekatharra to Wiluna to Balgair to Norseman to Southern Cross. This includes people in or near Kalgoorlie. It does NOT include Southern Cross or Meekatharra. At 1:30pm satellite and radar imagery showed numerous thunderstorms within the warning area with some of the storms likely to be severe. Kalgoorlie radar showed thunderstorms to the north and northwest of Kalgoorlie, moving generally towards the southeast, towards the town. Storms may be accompanied by - DAMAGING WINDS - LARGE HAIL - HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING. Storms could cause DAMAGE TO HOMES AND PROPERTY. The overall weather pattern is not unusual for this time of year, but severe weather may occur in some parts of the warning area.
