WHAT HAPPENED TO LONG-SUFFERING AS A FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT? (BREAD AND FISH BELIEVERS) The Christian PROFESSION is about exhibiting the Fruits of the Holy Spirit which includes Long-suffering and Patience. Long-suffering is the ability to endure suffering without murmuring or cursing God or giving up hope/Faith in Jesus Christ. A GOOD SOLDIER would endure hardness. (2Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ) It is rather unfortunate most Christians are being taught to get everything instantly. This is not a good teaching or Spirit. Christianity is not about only your needs. It is about a relationship between you and God. Imagine you are in a relationship with someone who does not love you for who you are but for what you have. How would you feel? When there is trouble and you can no longer give to the person, the relationship ceases. Remember the feeding of the 5000 and 4000 men. They afterward looked for him just because of bread and not for any other thing. When He began preaching the pure Word, many left Him. Some even joined those who advocated for His Crucifixion. (John 6:25 And when they found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? 26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye ate of the loaves, and were filled. 27 Work not for the food which perisheth, but for the food which abideth unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him the Father, even God, hath sealed.) Most popular “men of God” have identified the needs of people and they are capitalizing on it to make money out of them. Study the trend it all ends up in getting a nice car, Traveling abroad, getting a plenty of cash, physical prosperity and so forth. Their messages are centered on carnal things-the needs of the people. The gospel of Christ is primarily about preparing us for the Rapture, Millennium AND ETERNITY. It is not centered on Physical Canaan where we get abundance of goods. However, It is not wrong if God blesses with riches and earthly things. It is also not wrong to pray for earthly things but this is not the focus. We have provisions in the Scripture for that. An Example is 3 John(3John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.) Why are you following God? Is it because your mum is sick and you want her healed, Is it because you need a wife or money? Then YOU ARE A BREAD AND FISH CHRISTIAN who would deny Him quickly if He does not provide you with your needs. You ARE NOT FIT OF FOR THE KINGDOM! Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Better change your mind. God is looking for people like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego who would stand for Him even if He does not give the material wealth or allow them to pass through physical fires. PASTORS AND PREACHERS! Be careful the mindset you placing in people. Some have come to trust you above God (You are now sharing God’s glory with Him). You preach that people should seek the world FIRST. This was the same sermon Satan brought to Eve and even to our Lord Jesus Christ. You are not objective in your sermon. Hardly do you even talk about the Second coming of Christ. You minds are loaded with Carnality and popularity. The Christian race is the only race that the patient wins. It is the only race that is not for the swift or the strong. God is watching. He will surely reward those who are longsuffering and do not see this world as their home.
