WHAT I DO:) So heres what I enjoy doing the most as a trainer: Someone comes to me and says they have a sore this or that and maybe they want to work this muscle or that a little more or less today and they are concerned about an old injury. Assuming Ive done at least one slower assessment with them just to ensure I do no harm, I try to design a fun, interesting workout that works all the muscles of the body, always ensuring an emphasis on the typically weal posterior chain, and keep moving so that the heart rate stays elevated with occasional blasts of very high intensity cardio to elevate it further and then coast for awhile at a slightly lower but still elevated heart rate. After about 20 minutes of constant movement, I stretch key areas to relieve tension in the back, hamstrings and upper back, places where people typically are too tight and then send them on there way about a half hour after they walked through the doors. Its fun and efficient. A little warning though. You need to know your stuff if your going to try this because if you focus on speed without being absolutely certain your not going to cause an injury, your a car wreck waiting to happen. But assuming your eating well, a couple 20, 30 min workouts like that a week and your good to go. Just so you know:)
