WHAT IMF ADVICE DOES TO COUNTRIES LIKE GHANA. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1/ They lure third world economies to reduce the states role in their economic development process by liberalizing their economies allow outside forces to determine the pace of destruction. 2/ These IMF conditions force third-world governments to lower or eliminate trade barriers and tariffs. 3/ The conditions pressurize `poor` countries to lower or eliminate subsidies to their local businesses, privatize public utilities and state-owned businesses. 4/ These conditions ensure that underdeveloped countries like Ghana limit production to only one or two major exports. 5/ They advise developing countries to eliminate their controls on their local currency and capital. So when the cedi depreciates against the dollar from 2.65 in 1982 to 28,000 in 2014, as our political leaders behave helpless and showing the lack the political will to do what must be done, ASK YOURSELF WHY! The ability of the developing states to assist domestic industry or provide needed public services is impeded by all the above goals of the IMF conditionalities. Since no country in history has ever industrialized under such a process, IMF conditionalities are essentially a massive, radical experiment foisted on the poorest of the worlds population.
