WHAT IS BARTERING? Barter builds community! Bartering is trading things of value between individuals. You can trade your time and skills, (childcare, gardening, plumbing, designing rain water catchments, etc.), craft work, (baskets, beadwork, art, etc.), garden or wild produce, and useful items (seeds, books, toys, wood stoves, tools, etc.). Use your imagination - the possibilities are endless. Bartering promotes human interaction and interdependence, relying more on each other for our needs than cash only transactions, which ARE acceptable by the way. Our intent is not to restrict transactions of any sort, rather, to facilitate ALL sorts of them.
