WHAT IS TRUTH? John 18:37-40 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him, WHAT IS TRUTH? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber. Is truth some what of a convenience? Something only when it’s at our best interest. Is truth something that we can live by? Is truth a discomfort? “I would’ve told him the truth but it might have hurt him.” Is truth something for others? “If you don’t stop lying Santa Claus won’t get you anything for Christmas.” What if what ones been believing all his life turns out not to be the truth. Does this one keep believing what isn’t the truth? Or does he throw away all truth? What is truth? This is the worlds most vital question and yet one of the most to be taken lightly. We live in a world that is the enemy of truth. For instance…We say that the forefathers of this country wanted to separate church and state. So these forefathers meant for us of today to lie to our children pertaining to how they got here? Teach them evolution? Is this what is meant by separation of church and state…LIE? If one wants to know, “…what is truth?”, how does this one find this? Truth is as a mountain, it is a long climb up. When you get to the top of the mountain you are able to see things from a view point one hasn’t seen before. Though this is a long climb up, there is the lie that is trying to prevent one from reaching this top. This one has to fight through all what the lie throws at him, sifting through all that is thrown at him. Truth is a substance. One should empty his heart of all and search for this truth with ALL his heart. Truth is victorious, it always wins. The lie’s only defense against truth is death, “Either worship me as god or I will have you killed.” Truth is not taking life, rather is giving life. Truth is what is real. Truth may hurt at first but it’s final outcome is comfort. Truth is love and loves all. Truth is not what one wants it to be…truth is. Truth is not dark, thus it is not evil. Truth is light, thus it is good and good for all. There are two in this world that combat one another, truth and lie, these two are enemies. These two are combating for the minds of man as to what to believe. While the lie is boisterous, demanding, violent, aggressive… truth is quite, polite, loving, gentle… Lie imitates what is real. Truth is…what is real. Lie imitates truth. Truth is truth. There are two periods when truth will be revealed. One is here and now and the other is at death, then the truth will be known to all. Here and now is the time to accept truth, for here and now is the purpose of truth. At death…it is to late to accept truth…willfully. At death all will have to accept truth, for some then will truth be forceful and hurting…much pain. John 18:37 …To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Father we thank You for Your Truth. Thank You Father that You didn’t leave us to the lie rather You love us so that you sent forth Your Truth into this dark world that we may be able to see through all this darkness the lie has covered this world with. Now that we know this truth, strengthen us father that we may tell others of Your Truth for the harvest is truly ripened. Make us soul winners that we may win souls for You ohh Father.
