“WHAT TIME WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO BE THERE?” is what a good friend said to me last night when I asked if she would help me watch my 4 younger kids today, as their school reopening has been postponed due to the Ebola crisis in Nigeria. I said 9 and at 9:01 the doorbell rang and she was at the door. “EMBER, CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE COLESLAW FOR ME TO HAVE WITH DINNER?” I asked my soon to be twelve year old daughter today over the phone. “Mommy, I’ve already made your salad for you!” she replied! I hadn’t even asked her to make it, but I had the best dinner tonight of BBQ chicken and salad, all made by her! “I’M IN” was the text message from my new manager today. A lady I just happened to chat with at an appointment I took my mom to connected me with him and after working with him for just a few days, I’m pretty impressed! I was at that doctor’s appointment three hours early and it even turned out I had made the appointment at another office, but I ended up there where I met someone so cool that I asked her, “Please, do you have any friends like you that are looking for work?” A few minutes later one of those friends called my phone saying, “I’m sick right now, but if you want me to meet up with you today, I will come and meet you.” The next day we met at my office and this week we’ve been having a trial period to get to know each other. I REFUSE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING, as God constantly reminds me of how incredibly involved He is in every aspect of my life! God, I’m sincerely grateful! WE ROLL WITH GOD!
