WHAT is YOUR GOD like? Many people believe that God, is just like them. They project what they are- on to God, to justify what they think, do and say. For example, many believe that- 1. ‘Jesus was a conservative Republican.’ He was not. He had no political affiliations or aspirations, whatsoever. 2. ‘Jesus was the Head of a Jesus Company, selling his books, tapes , T-Shirts, CD’s and lectures, for his ‘’ministry’’ ‘. No He wasn’t and didn’t. He cared little for money and gave everything away, for free. 3. ‘Jesus just loved everyone, and hugged and kissed everyone without restraint. ‘ No, He did not. He called people foul names and cursed trees and beat people with whips He made himself. 4. ‘Jesus was always serious, always quoting scripture and having serious Bible Studies. ‘ No. Jesus , like God, has and had a sense of humor, and was full of joy. He spread that around. 5. ‘Jesus was a Christian, probably a Baptist. ‘ No He was not. He was JEWISH and still is. 100% JEWISH. 6. ‘Jesus preached in ‘’church’’ ‘. No He did not. He spoke outdoors, to thousands, without ushers, a music ‘’team’’, without a microphone and amplifier or speakers, security guards, without anyone telling anyone what to do or not do, without RULES of any kind. And everyone there heard him clearly. And He fed them too, for free. 7. ‘Jesus was anti Law-‘ No , He was anti FALSE Law. He loves the Law and came to fulfill it. 8. ‘Jesus was a legalist.’ No, He wanted people to follow the SPIRIT of the Law, for their own good and everyone else’s. 9. ‘Jesus wore a suit and tie, and dressed conservatively.’ No He didn’t. He wore casual clothes. 10. ‘Jesus was himself, reserved, stoic, conservative, and quiet.’ No, Jesus ,like God was a wild crazy fun loving brilliant artist , doing spontaneous creative things every second of everyday, that were also serious as well. 11. So what is YOUR GOD LIKE? The one that people want to THINK He was, or the one He really was? You may want to rethink your view.
