WHATS IT LIKE TO LIVE ON AN ISLAND? Good Morning, I was asked this question yesterday by a lovely American. My honest response was ; Its like a post graduate version of living in Ireland. I knew a Canadian artist living in South Galway and I remember one evening she explained to me that colour is created where darkness and light meet --- not unlike my beloved Island. Walking in the middle of the road is without doubt the sensible option but walking at the edges has more fun and vitality --- not unlike my beloved island. Generation after Generation of people out here have chosen to live on a rock in the Atlantic Ocean and by virtue of that alone, there is not just a vibrant and lively community, its one thats made up of the very people who know and live passion. Whos forefathers believed in themselves enough ---- they knew intuitively how vital it is to embrace Nature and the Elements and inately understood the importance of living on this Island of beauty, dreams & realities.
