For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” Revelation 6:12-17. NOTICE THIS QUESTION IS ANSWERED IN THE NEXT 3 VERSES (in chapter 7) “After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having THE SEAL OF THE LIVING GOD. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, ‘Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.’ And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed.” Revelation 7:1-3 (THE 144,000 ARE A SYMBOLIC NUMBER OF ALL WHO WILL BE SAVED WHEN JESUS COMES – THEY HAVE THE SEAL OF GOD IN THEIR FOREHEADS) Learn and teach others what these symbols mean. What is God’s seal? You can know and eventually must know and you can obtain it as a free gift which comes to those who ask God to forgive their sins and write his law in their hearts (Hebrews 10:16 and Revelation 14:12.) We Again See the 144,000 (Both In Revelation 7 and in Revelation 14) – In Revelation 14 We See That Those Who Choose to Have God’s Seal in Their Foreheads Have the Father’s Name In Their Foreheads . Laws are sealed with the seal of that jurisdiction. God’s law contains His name in Exodus 20:8-11. That is where we see the seal of God’s law. Read Ezekiel 20:12 and 20:20 and notice the word “sign.” In the Bible the word “sign,” “seal” and “mark” are used interchangeably. “Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND, Having His FATHER’S NAME WRITTEN ON THEIR FOREHEADS. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.” Revelation 14:1-5 God’s Last Three Warning Messages 1. God judges us now! - BEFORE He Returns for Us. “I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—TO EVERY NATION, TRIBE, TONGUE, AND PEOPLE— 7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for THE HOUR OF HIS JUDGMENT HAS COME; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” Revelation 14:6-7. 2. Spiritual “Babylon” is morally fallen -- Chapter 18:1-4 says God’s People are in Spiritual “Babylon” – “Confusion” and He is calling them out. “And another angel followed, saying, “BABYLON IS FALLEN, IS FALLEN, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Revelation 14:8 3. “Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “if anyone WORSHIPS the beast and his image, and RECEIVES his MARK on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also Drink of -- THE WINE OF THE WRATH OF GOD, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:9-11 ”HERE IS THE PATIENCE OF THE SAINTS; HERE ARE THOSE WHO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND THE FAITH OF JESUS.” Revelation 14:12 There are just two classes when Jesus comes back. They both meet great tribulation (Daniel 12:1 and Revelation chapter 16) before He comes but the sealed and saved meet it with the angels of God on their side. NOW we read of THE FIRST HARVEST - Revelation 14:14-16 Those who have GOD’S SEAL, HIS NAME in their minds – “their forehead” will pass through the final storm successfully – they are the “WISE” Builders Of Matthew 7:24-25 and Daniel 12:1-3 and Matthew 25:1-7; they have invited Christ to do what He promised to do in His “New Covenant” promise to put His laws into their “foreheads,” their minds – their hearts! The Apostle Paul wrote, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their MINDS I will write them.” Hebrews 10:16. 4. THE FIRST HARVEST (THOSE WITH THE SEAL) -- “Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, ‘Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.’ So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.” Revelation 14:14-16. See also Matthew 13:39. NOW we read of THE SECOND HARVEST - Revelation 14:17-20 5. THE SECOND HARVEST – THE HARVEST OF CHRUSHED GRAPES and BLOOD is for those with the “Mark of the Beast.” It is essential for you and me to understand these symbols - everyone gets the “MARK OF THE BEAST” except those who choose the “SEAL OF THE LIVING GOD.” Daniel the prophet tells us that the coming Crisis just before Christ returns will be worse than any crisis that has ever struck Planet Earth. – Daniel 12:1 – It will involve the 7 last plagues (Not 21 plagues like the Biblical novels tell us. Those novels are written by people that don’t understand the symbols of Daniel and Revelation. I have no doubt that they are sincere people. I know of sincere people who sincerely followed their GPS – turned off a main road and drove up a mountain road because they relied on their GPS. They ended up in the mountains stuck for days in the snow. They were sincere. They had a GPS and yet they got helplessly lost and stuck in the freezing cold thinking they had made a “wise” choice but the result was great sorrow. Jesus talks of the same thing happening to many who think they are “wise” They have their GPS, their Bible and are lost and don’t know it. – They call Jesus “Lord.” They Prophesy in Christ’s name. They work miracles. But they turned away from His New Covenant. They refused to let Him put His law (of love) into their hearts. He says, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:21 – 23. Build on the Rock! Just prior to His return every living person will be tested by the storm that is coming “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-25. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” Matthew 7:27-28. It is sad that many who today say “I am saved” are building on the sand and think they are building on the rock. The crisis will come upon all just as it did in the days of Noah. Jesus said, “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. . . Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Matthew 24:37-44. Wait, I hear someone saying, the secret rapture will come and take me home before anything real bad happens on Planet Earth!! -- That’s what those who write religious novels like LEFT BEHIND are telling you. Notice where the great religious teachers were when Noah and his 3 sons and their wives entered the ark. THEY ALL WERE OUTSIDE THE ARK knowing that Noah was a crazy religious nut and they knew that NO CRISIS will touch us!! But it did. And Jesus tells us that the great religious teachers will do the same thing just before the final plagues that will accomplish the same work as the flood accomplished in Noah’s day – cleanse the earth of hatred and sin. God is calling you to choose to be safe, to Let Him prepare you for this final crisis. We can see in the terrible local scenes of fire, flood, earthquakes, tidal waves, war, that God is trying to get our attention before it is forever too late.
