WHEN I WAS COMING... A long truck ran into a ditch full of muddy water, baptizing me with the dirty lotion. My windscreen went blurred, the wiper didnt help much, so I pulled over to clean with a rag. In a hurry, I missed my step and tripped, twisting my ankle, landing with my two hands on the dusty ground. It was a complete insult on my injury. You know it is those times that your calls will not also get through! I remembered a friend stays close on the next street. Sweet enough, he was around. He rallied around me, his younger ones washed my car in ten minutes while I had warm water, clean towel and soft cream to refresh my dirty face! I arrived just in time. As my host brought me forward, the last words he said jovially about me welled up tears of gratitude in my eyes for my friend. Pastor Ay is always smart and neat with his simple shirts and trimmed beards, thank God for his life. I would have arrived at the venue dirty and roughened, but for my friend and his family! I told them the story of when I was coming and encouraged them to always appreciate friends who live on the road of help to their purpose! This is the season of gratitude. I didnt arrive here on Facebook posting stories for weeks without weariness, if not for my friends who help to remove the dust of discouragement from my mental vehicle and mud of corrections from my grammatical, analytical and practical face with their likes, comments, inbox messages and share. I didnt just come to this point in ministry, lending my tiny voice to raising, rinsing and releasing my generation into purpose, if not for faithful commitment I daily receive from my bosom, covenant brothers, sisters and partners who spare nothing at giving free course to this cause! I didnt just come here looking smart in marriage, if not for a Sweetheart who wipes away my manly dusts of weaknesses and understands my calling with its attendant costs. I didnt just grow up born again trying to find my path into destiny, if not for the Lords saving grace and my parents, who patterned the path for the kid I was, to the king I should be! I have made many mistakes, said many wrong words even with the best of intentions, assumed many wrong ideas, followed wrong methods and sprinkled with many guilts. But, thank you faithful friends and family, for holding out your resources to prime me ready for the next stage Im meant to mount! I might have arrived here looking wiped, but, many things happened along the way, the journey was never that smooth, but for many hands that mopped my mess! THANK YOU for this 2014! You will get THERE!
