WHEN REV. EJIKE MBAKA BIRD REFUSED TO FLY – HE REMEMBERED BALAAM AND HIS DONKEY It was another political drama in the history of Nigeria. This one drew significant audience and viewers because the script was written and acted by a very clever but confused clergy, Rev. Ejike Mbaka - a celebrated Catholic priest. Nigerians love their religious leaders and there is no gainsaying that they love this Rev. Father who once prayed that Nigeria should divide because no Hausa man has built a home in Igboland. Goofy men of God like this guy are easily believed and followed than men of integrity who have never flip-flopped on President Jonathan’s incompetence and love for corruption. Today, Nigerians are falling over one another because he managed to take a position that many of us who never claimed to be “men-of-god” or having special spiritual powers have taken long ago. Like Balaam who was contracted to curse the children of Israel while God instructed him not to do such thing, Mbaka faced a dilemma on whether to endorse Goodluck Jonathan and enrich himself or choose the way of honor, dignity and obedience to God. However, like Balaam, this Catholic priest first chose his pocket because he was induced with millions of Naira and other goodies, but it took a bird that refused to fly even after this priest had done everything in his power to make it fly for Mbaka to realize that he cannot serve two masters. https://youtube/watch?v=qRtpm75-TAk Like Balaam, Mbaka still tried his best to play his selfish interests by inviting Goodluck Jonathan and his wife to attend a ceremony not blessed by God and made mockery of Nigerians who were calling on Jonathan to help bring back our girls – the kidnapped Chibok girls contrary to God’s interests. Now, like Balaam, Mbaka was not ashamed of a turn again lane. The sad thing is that many Nigerians pretended that they now know this truth for the first time as if only when it comes from their Rev. Father it now becomes divine. They are still hallucinating from the opium of religion. God don’t have to give a vision about what is obvious even to those who are not living in Nigeria. Almost all World Organizations monitoring all aspects of national affairs of countries around the world presented facts about Nigeria’s economic, political and social life – they do not wait for God to tell them. Mbaka was late. I have been calling for the resignation of Jonathan since May, 2014.
