WHEN THE CAMERAS ARENT AROUND by Jon Clark Today was pretty effective in shutting down the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Workers gathered outside for hours as we shut down the business as usual of approving new fossil fuel projects. Climate and fracktivists locked arms and blockaded all entrances. Today was so effective, police became pretty aggressive. Police got pretty rough with activists, especially when there were no cameras around. I was taken down to the ground several times by aggressive officers and assaulted several times, the last time I hit my head pretty hard on the sidewalk. Does the government think our destabilizing climate is a joke? Because they sure are acting like it. By the way, every single one of us took a pledge of non violence. Many of us were assaulted and even tazered. This is what happens when the fossil fuels industry runs the show, when you stand up you get knocked down…repeatedly.
