WHERES THE BLOOD? I had a TV news reporter ask me that once in a court room, a man had been shot and killed. We were talking about the “goings on” here in Chester County, about the victims of violent crime and corruption. I was trying to get him to do an investigative news story, which takes a lot of time, cost a lot of money. He wanted to know who was hurt, where’s the blood? As far as the violence went, I pointed to the family of the victim sitting in the front of the room. They had lost their father, the wife, her husband. I said there is no blood here, but there is the hurt. The corruption, all of us here are hurting because of that. He just wasnt interested. Fact is, the news media loves violence. it sells.Conspiracy costs too much takes to long to uncover that. They don’t care about the root cause of violence. You expose that and try to fix it, there is no profit in that. It’s best to stir the pot, like what they are doing now with this latest killing. Do that while they wait on another shots fired call, film, take pictures, of a sheet covered body lying in the street. A suspect standing in front of a judge, it’s all good. Better if it’s a young person or someone with a little local fame. Tears are good, community leaders expressing outrage (again) talking about something got to be done but nothing ever is, here anyway. More money to be made.
