WHILE her beloved character Mary Poppins was practically perfect in every way, the Australian-born author of the original book ruined the life of two boys. Thats the revelation which comes as a movie about PL Travers and Walt Disney comes to the big screen with Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks playing the main characters in Saving Mr Banks. Reports suggest Travers was desperate for a child of her own and after seeking out a couple who offered her their twin boys, Travers chose to take only one of the children. The boy she took, Camillius, is said to have never forgiven Travers after his twin Anthony knocked on their door when the boys were 17 and he found out that the author had lied to him about being his biological mother.
