WHITE APRON REVOLUTION: DR Suhail Naik The functioning of five newly sanctioned medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir is a great move in health reforms of state. It is going to deliver priority health care at doorsteps of people along with modern hi-tech diagnostic facilities’. Further we are hopeful that these colleges will impart quality education to future generation medicos. Today our state is saturated with specialists who are abreast with day to day scientific developments. These colleges will be plate form for their clinical acumen to deliver and is going to decrease brain drain from state also. These colleges have produced opportunity for all those medicos working outside state to come back and serve their own people. Now our poor people do not need to travel to capital cities for investigations like ECHO, MRI, ENDOSCOPES, etc. These hi-tech investigations along with specialists will be available in these medical colleges. We all are aware that majority of our rural people are poor and it is very hard for them to get admitted and treated fifty kilo meters away from home. For years we were demanding White apron revolution, so that common people will get hassle free treatment at door steps.
