WHN MAKIN A CHOICE....Genesis22:1-19....The story seems barbaric n outrageous!How could God ask Abraham 2 sacrifice his son?It seems lk a cruel choice offered by a sadistic n malicious God.The dearest thng to Abrahams heart was his son Isaac!...perhaps da only way 2 undstd is 2 see it as a crucial lesson in choices.God had clld Abraham 2 dad a new nation,a nation tht would bring salvtn 2 da world.Da task was enormous,da obstacles formidable,n Abrahams faith in God who promised would be testd severely.Abraham needed 2 kno hw 2 obey God wholheartly.He needed 2 kno hw tht however steep da da mountain he had 2 climb,however fierce da enemy,or however nagging his own doubt,if God clld,he would alwz provide....Most of us cannt comprehend da kind of trust it would take 2 obey as Abraham did,but we rejoice tht Jesus does comprehend it-becouse he gave his life in absolute trust 2 God da Dad at Calvary!We, too,can also trust God wth all tht dearest 2 us.
