WHO CAUSED THE MAYHEM AT THE KANO CENTRAL MOSQUE? Boko Haram who are ever ‘proud’ to claim authorship of their various nefarious activities have not claimed ownership of the dastardly act at the Kano Central Mosque. Who dunnit? Was it a retaliatory attack by the members of the Shi’a sect who were massacred in a suicide bomb blast early in November 2014? Was it retaliation for the various attacks on Christian dominated areas of northeast Nigeria? (The various areas whose populations are currently being decimated by Boko Haram, such as Mubi, Gwoza, Chibok, and so many more, are all Christian dominated territories. Was the convenient absence of Mr. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Islamic (not traditional) ruler of Kano, merely coincidental or part of the 2-month long plan as Mr. Sanusi himself disclosed upon return to Nigeria? Since our polity has not heeded to my various calls for a holistic renegotiation and restructuring of the contraption, our security operatives must intensify their investigation to avert a major descent into widespread conflagration.
