WHO NEEDS THE COUNT? WHO NEEDS TO KNOW IF THE MILLION MARK WAS REACHED? It was reached, I will tell you, a million, over a million times! The message was delivered loud and clear in joyful protestation sans violence or ill-mannered language. Aug 26 2013 shall be remembered for a long, long time not only as a day of protest against the pork, but also a day of disciplined rally - one that should serve as a template for future rallies, walks, gatherings and the like. A million is a number: it is not important whether it was attained or surpassed. In our heart of hearts, we were over a million voices to implore our leaders to start good governance; to really tread MATUWID NA DAAN; a day that broke the chain of oppression; a day to start our deliverance from the evil that has lurked and lived with us for the longest time. And yes, the battle has just begun. OUr vigilance should not stop or be compromised. We showed ourselves we can do it - and we shall do it again and again and again until we rid our system of the cancer that is eating us up. God bless the Philippines......and to all provincial and overseas kababayans...........thank you for your participation and your support.
