WHOS GOUGING THE PUBLIC THIS WEEK AT THE PUMP ... CHEVRON NOW MOST EXPENSIVE GAS IN FORT BRAGG Arco continues to be the cheapest gas in Fort Bragg while the Chevron station remains oblivious to the dropping gas prices all around them. Arco has gas for $2.07 - Chevron is charging 34 cents more. Why anyone would go there is a mystery. The Arco station is even 5 cents cheaper than the cheapest gas being sold in Ukiah (Jensens Truck Stop, $2.12) and EIGHTEEN cents cheaper than its sister Arco station over in Willits that is tied with Safeway for the lowest price at $2.25. Of course, the best way to get gouged is to get gas in Little River or Albion or, heaven forbid, Mendocino, where the price is still the same as when gas was over $100 a barrel - it closed at $47.17 a barrel today). At those stations they still havent broken the THREE DOLLAR barrier - and they get the same gas as the other stations for the most part.
