WHY DID JESUS DIE ON THE CROSS ? A POWERFUL SCRIPTURE! Titus 2:14Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people ,zealous for good works. 1st-Jesus died on the Cross on our behalf. We deserved the punishment of our sins .The wrath of God was upon us because of our rebellion and evil. But Christ the Lamb of God died in our place. But He died not just to forgive us and leave us in our sins ! No ! We are also redeemed set free from all iniquity ! He purchased our freedom from the dominion of sin ! We are free ! 2nd-He gave Himself to purify for Himself a people who belong totally to Him ! We do not belong to the world or to the devil.We are now His special possession by virtue of Christs death on the Cross !! We are now His holy people ! Sanctification is not only separation from sin ,but it is also devotion to God. 3rd-He gave Himself on the Cross that we may be zealous for good works !We delight in the Savior by being eager to do good works in His Name ! Are we zealous and on fire and enthusiastic about serving the Lord and doing good works ? I love this scriptures that does not get much attention but it says so much about why Christ died for us ! Just the fact that He gave Himself for us who were unworthy and deserved damnation should inspire a zeal for Him that can never be quenched ! I urge everyone to stop filling themselves with things of this world that only make you happy for a short time. But fill your life and heart with Jesus Christ who can give you life everlasting. I chose to follow Jesus and it has finally led me to the place where I was meant to be. Please my friends chose Jesus Christ. You can receive Christ right now. Remember that Jesus says, Im standing at the door and Im knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in. Would you like to respond to his invitation? Heres how. If you dont know Jesus as your personal Savior just pray this simple pray and you will be saved The precise words you use to commit yourself to God are not important. He knows the intentions of your heart. If you are unsure of what to pray, this might help you put it into words: Jesus, I want to know you. I want you to come into my life. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin so that I could be fully accepted by you. Only you can give me the power to change and become the person you created me to be. Thank you for forgiving me and giving me eternal life with God. I give my life to you. Please do with it as you wish. Amen. If you sincerely asked Jesus into your life just now, then he has come into your life as he promised. You have begun a personal relationship with God. What follows is a lifelong journey of change and growth as you get to know God better through Bible reading, prayer and interaction with other Christians. Then turn from your sin, follow Him, and trust His Holy Spirit to give you the power to do so. Read your Bible regularly to mature in your faith.
