WHY DO I SELDOMLY LET MY CLIENTS DICTATE THE SHAPE Like in any other job, 90% of the completed work lies in preparation. Greater part of treatment is also dedicated to preparation. 1. Considering the fact that we came to the conclusion that every face has the precise pre-defined area where the eyebrows are positioned, it then leaves not much space for client to determine the most important spots on her own. On the other hand, taking into account the previously mentioned, it is the sole will of the client to choose the thickness. At the same time I would not allow the thickness to emerge into extreme proportions (meaning the eyebrows are not going to be either too thin, or too thick). 2. Client is constantly prone to regain the previous shape of the eyebrows even though she is aware of the fact that the existing shape is not the appropriate one. What could be the possible reason? The area of the familiarity is very difficult to abandon. 3. The client is often identified with certain (in most cases attractive) women and therefore she demands the exact same eyebrows as in the photograph she brings along. Just to remind; the shape of the eyebrows is dictated by arcade, forehead bone, distance between eyes, the overall image of the forehead and temporals, golden cross-section etc. If, in any case it would happen that all of the above is the same as with the person on the photograph the client brings along, only then the eyebrows could look similar, but not identical, since the mimicry along with the above mentioned physical characteristics plays an important role in the final shape of the eyebrows. 4. Clients follow fashion. Let me remind you that shape and colour last much longer than fashion. 5. The matter of a personal signature. If the client alone would have the total freedom in dictating the overall shape and symmetry, she could also openly say that she did the work all by herself since the technique of drawing represents only 10% of the total amount of the work. If someones eyebrows should be represented as my work, then they have to be my work in all its entire perfection.
