The solicitation will include both “Standard” and “Reduced Recoil” versions of the Slug ammunition. ). This Ammunition will at all Department of Homeland Security (DHS, or Department) component locations nationwide and outside the CONUS. Estimated quantities for both types of ammunition are approximately two million rounds per year. This notification is a “pre-solicitation notice” and incorporates a draft Statement of Work for the Reduced Recoil Slug Ammunition. The final solicitation package will be issued on a full and open competitive basis. The RFP shall be issued on/around 31 October 2013.
