WHY I wrote a book about my son: Prior to 2011, I didn’t pay much attention to suicide prevention because, honestly, I didn’t think it affected my family. Then we lost Greg, and I began to understand how unaware most parents are about the risk for suicide. I also began to understand how perceptions about suicide contribute to the problem. I wrote Find Gregory St. Amand to help raise awareness, particularly for parents, as I searched for the answer to my question, What happened to my son? I hope you read the book, then I hope you discuss it with others, i.e. book club, school, place of worship, home, etc. Together, we can make the difference!
