WHY OUR SOCIETY REMAINS THE WAY IT IS For a while I have refrained from making serious contributions to issues concerning the Nigerian society on this platform. The reasons seem to be borne out of some measure of frustrations which is usually the lot of a few of us who harbor the feeling that things should get better, but seeing the opposite happen on a daily basis. Without trying to rehash the already known tales of Boko Haram, the stow away of millions of dollars to another country (which riddle has been difficult to unravel) to ebola; and the macabre dance of our politicians who have earned the reputation of being the most mobile across global political climes, my submission is that we have enough to chew on a daily basis.However, my resolve is to chose to live happy and positive throughout the fleeting years that the Almighty will permit me to spend on this side of the Jordan. I have found out that no one has the right to rob me of my joy or impeach me from the prime place that the grace of God has placed me amongst the saints in Christ Jesus. I have taken up a consolation in the admonition of Apostle Paul in his letter to the Galatians Chapter 6 vs 6 to do and share good things with those that have imparted my life in some ways. Before now, I have never seen the grim need to share my appreciation with those that affect my life whether negatively or positively. I have learnt more to appreciate God in the lives of men rather than seat in the sit of critics. I shall continue to remain an analyst and not a critic. I will continue to see God in all that men do to me, whether it is pleasurable or unpleasurable. The world is full of men who are hell bent on stagnating others through their negative behaviours; my duty and aim is not to be one of their preys by resisting the temptations of trying to match them in their game. God has given every one a measure of grace and circle of influence and I will not allow anyone to use his or her liberty rob me of my focus. This is my resolve, I dont know about you?
