WHY THE SOUTHERN KADUNA PEOPLE MUST TAKE A NEW STAND IN D POLITICS - TopicsExpress

WHY THE SOUTHERN KADUNA PEOPLE MUST TAKE A NEW STAND IN D POLITICS OF THE STATE COME 2015 INSHA ALLAH! Many of my critics argued that iam always pushing position on issues as it only affects my community,d SKD. They went further to see me as not bn nationalistic in my approach. In another words, they see me as bn sentimental wen it comes to SKD. In as much as I respect their impression of me,I however will like to tell them this simple fact that Nigeria as it is today, every community has it peculiar social problems. And while some communities on d scale of preference of govt are highly favored others are completely deserted. And every man who leaves his house burning with fire n went ahead to fetch water to quench another mans house which is equally on fire in d name of trying to bear a good name is nothing but a pathetic fellow. Adolf Hitler wz not wrong when he said He he who cannot conquer his street cannot conquer d state. In other words,he is saying any man who cannot put his community in order cannot in anyway affects d state positively. The SKD pple,my pple, have a long history of state deprivation n negligence. This is a visible, common and established fact. Very many of our elites except for few (whose positive contributions have bn overshadowed by d dominant activities of d former) in one way or the other shy or fear to define our stake in d governance of d state. A phenomenon dat have resulted in d state of poor devt in d area. This gave birth to govt mal-administration n unequal allocation of resources in KD. The SKD wia I come from is d worst hit by d strokes of this social injustice. No function able hospitals, the few ones in existence are but a breeding site of disease n spreads due to lack of facilities. Other basic amenities need not to be listed here as theyre not in existence whereas my brothers up there in d Northern part enjoy all these social gifts. Then if in my quest to demand for equity, fairness n justice thru credible n objective minded leadership to correct this wrongs is selfishness, then my critics may be right in describing me as bn sentimental in my struggle. And if thats truely what it takes to be it then I owe none an apology as iam comfortable with that state of bn sentimental in this aspect. Ive learn how to cry out when iam beaten. I wish to state here, that my involvement in what iam doing now is due to a strong conviction n believe that something must be done to redressed d present predicament of my pple at d grass root. That I owe them my voice to let d world know about our sorry state. I owe them d responsibility of asking d state to give them equal opportunity as against d on-going favoritism that have bn going for so long in favor of other parts of d state. If iam silence over this my conscience will never give me rest. If I do not contribute no matter how little to improving on d lives of my brothers, nature wld charge me guilty. In all my actions none was ever intended to appeal to any mans interest but with intend to gear up my service to humanity. Like any other man,I need comfort n riches but I dont want to have in abundance while my neighbor lives in penury that is false comfort n God wld not allow me see his kingdom. Thats why iam in this struggle,a struggle directed towards bringing social justice, equity n fairness to all in d state. Ive grown past d stage of working to please mere mortals like me as I expect no reward from them but God. This is my life commitment,a struggle guided by conscience. Lest I forget,I must reiterate that never was a time that I completely put to my brothers up in d northern part d blame of our sorry situation today. Even if theyre responsible it is bcos no one have ever cautioned n so theyre at liberty to act the way they are acting. I put much part of d blame on my pple who by opportunity happens to be in position to make clear our case b4 d state but rather chose to remain mute in order to maintain their source of filling d pockets at our expense. They shy away in defining our stake in d affairs in d state. So our struggle is much concerned in eradicating completely the enemy within b4 handling other intruders. It is against this somber background that iam involved in d struggle to create an alternative platform to check d PDP monopoly which 4 almost 14yrs enjoyed d loyalty of d pple even when the office seekers who posed as their mediators n statesmen in d party who never for once define to them their stake.14yrs of deception is enough. In politics, its a merry-go-round affair. It is a give n take affair. If for 14yrs youve bn giving n not receiving something worth your contributions then something is wrong. Is either ure bn fooled or u urself deliberately chose to be an on-looker. For 14yrs,these office seekers keep telling us to hold on to d PDP n yet nothing is forth coming. Never was a time wen they assured of Zoning d Partys Gubernatorial ticket to us. Their clinching to d PDP is not in principle but their satisfaction. Then why bn loyal to a system which sees u as not worthy of fronting it affairs rather using u to d advantage of adding to it size in number? The emergence of d late PIY wz mere providence. It wz not d agreement of men. And recent temporary arrangee within d party was forcefully put in place due to our noise making from d outside n not within by d so called stake holders of d party. Weve lost faith n have no trust for PDP in d state. We cannot be fooled any longer. Iam not helping in d formation of d APC n oda opposition platforms in SKD with d hope of occupying any political office if we eventually put in place govt cum 2015 as iam d least interested in such at d moment but iam concerned abt giving d pple an alternative platform to start all over. Iam happy that weve successfully put a formidable structure thru DEM to consolidate d APC. The SKD owe no party lts loyalty including d APC Iam participating in its formation. Its loyalty wld be determined by its stake in d party. We can no go into a party without concrete n tangible agreement as it wa in d past with d PDP. Terms must be stated clearly. Round table negotiations are a must. In politics, there is no gentleman agreement n diplomacy as every man in politics if not put in check is a potential betrayer n diplomacy if it shows itself in politics it implies doing the nastiest things in a nicest way. And we say this with no reservation that d PDP have failed us in this aspect n that we are set to go with a platform that is ready to give us equity, fairness n justice. Even d APC which I belong if at d slightest signals of deviating from dis democratic principles, the same us that help in its formation in d region wld be d same us dat wld aids in its destruction. And to those mouth-watering elders, rented n govt sponsored youths who went b4 d governor n endorsed him on behalf of SKD do so on their own accord n pocket as ull soon know that d true voice of d pple of SKD wld be spoken thru d ballot come 2015 as no election in d area wld be rigged. This is a statement of fact to be dealt with n not an issue to be debated upon. Our pple have resolve to be flexible n not to be rigid again. Any platform dat makes available d most favorable condition wld be embraced n cld be discarded at anytime it deviates from d ideals of democracy. No longer shall any party earn our loyalty without equal reward.
