These are hand carved and we only use dovetail neck joint construction. You won’t find a bolt in a Larrivée guitar! Dove tail joinery is used on only the finest woodworking projects and raises the value. Imagine a 300 year old chest that is still solid as a rock because of dovetail joints. Tell your customers this because it makes a difference! · Larrivée has their own sawmills across the world, and when we can, we cut our own wood! This gives us the opportunity to offer our customers the best wood available! · All Larrivée instruments are made in North America. We don’t build in Asia or Central America to save money on labor. With a start as a Canadian company, we grew and expanded to the USA, bringing jobs into the area instead of outsourcing which is the opposite of what many larger companies do. · Jean Larrivée is still a guitar maker first and foremost. Many CEO’s don’t get their hands dirty after “making it”. Jean carves necks, builds bodies, glues tops, paints, and sands. He also buys all of our wood himself, and works the saw mills!
