WHY am I posting all this diabetes stuff on my page? Well, its #DiabetesAwarenessMonth and my baby girl happens to be Type1 (which means she can never live without the help of insulin & constant testing again - unless a cure is found). So, if youve ever wondered what its like to be diabetic... one of my daughters favorite internet personalities explains her experience in this Q&A. You can see, Diabetes isnt just about having to take shots, check blood sugar, or be on a pump. So many aspects of their lives are affected from school to social experiences, and the scariness of possible future complications. I love that this girl puts her videos out, stays positive, and focuses on awareness. It gives my daughter someone to look up to (& relate to).
