WHY do we need to STOP MONSANTO? Monsanto has far reaching tentacles into our government and have been allowed to contaminate not only our food supply but our democracy and our rights to have information and choice. Why are we Americans? Because we pride ourselves to have these qualities over other nations who hold captive peoples freedoms and rights. Monsanto has gained power over our rights and freedoms since the 1980s when the administration at the time under George W. Bush Sr. and Dan Quayle (of potatoE fame) allowed DEREGULATION of GMO CROPS when this should have been not only regulated but contained in a test facility ONLY and not released to the general public until ALL testing was approved by ALL PARTIES. Not only were WE the test subjects, but this irresponsible disregard to our health and access to INFORMATION (no labeling) allowed monsanto and the government to PROFIT from their maneuvering while removing our rights and freedoms right under our noses. They continue to do so to this day, no thanks to President Obama who PROMISED that labeling genetically altered foods would be a PRIORITY under his administration, and they continue to keep the blindfold on us by pouring MILLIONS of $$$ into fighting the labeling efforts across the country and SUING states that have adopted labeling legislature. WHAT are they HIDING and WHY???
