WHY female students and subsequently security forces were targeted - TopicsExpress

WHY female students and subsequently security forces were targeted in Quetta today??? On 6th June 2013, security forces raided a house in Quetta on a tip-off and and 5 high profile terrorists including 2 women of Lashkar e Jhangvi, a Takfiri militant group were killed in the gunfight and blowing off by the suicide bombers. Later a spokesman of the Takfiri group contacted media and threatened to avenge the attack. He said that they will avenge the killing of "women" too. So, finally they targeted a university bus today killing tens of female students and and then security forces. Quoting bbc.co.uk , "An extremist Sunni militant group, Laskar-e-Jhangvi, told the BBC it carried out both attacks. A man calling himself spokesman for the group said they were a revenge for an earlier raid by security forces against the group in which a woman and children were killed." Unquoting It is pertinent to mention here that Lashkar e Jahngvi was founded for the sole purpose of systematically killing Shia Muslims in Pakistan and they had no animosity with security forces, unlike Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan. Now some questions arise here. New government of Nawaz Sharif has announced talks with the terrorists. What will be the agenda of the talks??? Militants will demand that they should be given freehand to kill Shias and in return they would not target security forces. Will the Nawaz Sharif government agree to it??? Or will the government press ahead with the target operation against terrorists, started by previous government after huge protests and sit-ins through out the country in January and February to protest the savage attacks in Quetta. Given the fact that PML N had sympathy for the mentioned group in the past,at least for political gains if not ideological, implies any decisive action against terrorists is highly unlikely and far remote. P.S I pay tribute to the security forces in general and Deputy Commisioner Quetta in particular, who were martyred today in the line of duty.
