WINNING EACH DAY DAILY DEVOTIONAL 2 Cor 2:14 “And thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph…” November 16, 2014 THE POWER HOUSE Psalm 73:17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood their end. There are some things we don’t understand until we come into God’s presence. His presence is a place of illumination. In Genesis 1, “Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness.” (Gen 1:2 MSG) Truly, “darkness was upon the face of the deep”. (KJV) What made the difference was that God’s Spirit brooded over the face of the water. The first thing God said was “Let there be light (illumination, revelation)”. God’s presence is a place where we become outstanding because we receive understanding. There is power when believers gather together in one accord. There are things you can achieve with your private time with God. These exploits are amplified when you are with other believers. (Deut 32:30) Mat 18:20 says “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” It does not matter whether they are two or three or more. What counts is that God honours the gathering of believers with His manifest presence. In the presence of Jehovah, troubles vanish; hearts are mended; strength is restored; joy abounds. His presence is the place He has commanded for our edification. Hence, Psalm 84:7 says “They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.” The Church is the believers Power House. CONFESSION: I am empowered in God’s presence today!
