WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LATE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY - TopicsExpress

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LATE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY AFTERNOON ICE WILL BE THE BIGGEST ISSUE. PAD YOUR COMMUTE BY 15 TO 30 MINUTES ESPECIALLY FOR WESTCHESTER ROCKLAND ORANGE AND PUTNUM COUNTIES AND FOR NORTHERN NJ NRTH OF THE RT 1 CORRIDOR Please share Precipitation appears on schedule to arrive between 3am and 6am tomorrow morning. The biggest issue will be freezing rain in areas where temperatures are below 32. For Long Island it appears that temperatures may be just enough above 32 to minimize problems but being that temps are close, it may be better to allow for some time just in case. The air is dry and it may cool down below freezing briefly tomorrow morning when precipitation starts. Elsewhere and especially in the Hudson Valley it is a different story where temps will be below freezing for awhile. The same holds for Northern New Jersey north of rte 78. Icing may be a problem there through the morning rush. South of 78 to Route 1 there may be some icing problems early on so again it will be better safe than sorry to pad your commute by a few extra minutes and all travelers tomorrow should exercise caution.
