WISDOM FOR THE DAY 15/03/2014 DON’T GIVE UP “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all” Psalms 34:19 (KJV) As a believer you were never promised a trouble free life but have always been warned in the word of God that there will be challenges and shakings. The bible says that many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him from them all. If the word of God has promised that God delivers from all troubles, then that settles it. I encourage you never to give up no matter what you are going through. Let me assure you that you are not alone in this struggle. Beloved, the Lord God is on your side. Let the devil somersault, you will emerge a winner in Jesus name. Beloved, when the Lord puts you on the spot, or allows you go through certain challenges, it is so that He can flex His muscles on your behalf. The question is how will they know the strength and ability of your God, if you don’t face impossible situations? For example Goliath threatened Israel forty days and nights. Saul and his army were running from Goliath, fully armed yet running into the trenches. In all of these, God did nothing. He did nothing because what He has put in us is able to confront our confrontations. God has put in us the ingredients to confront our mountains no matter how it looks or how big it is. There is no material for failure in the inside of you. You are not a failure because you failed an exam, the fact that you failed doesn’t make you a failure. Understand that one event in your life does not describe you. You must separate your relationship with God from the things that happen to you. The least person you would expect to confront Goliath was David, a small boy that had not learnt the art of warfare. But there was something he knew that made him stand out. He knew the ability of his God. Daniel 11:32 says that ‘’they that know their God shall be strong and shall do exploits” We are also told in 1 Samuel that Hannah could not bear children and was also constantly provoked by her adversary Peninnah who had several children. The scriptures record that God eventually visited her and gave her a child who later grew up to be one of the greatest Prophets that ever lived. Hannah learnt to wait on God for her miracle and I also make bold to ask you to wait on the Lord for He will surely come through for you. I prophesy that God will come through for you in that area of your life where you have suffered delay. You will win in every competition of life.
