WJPD Reports July8-11, 2013 July 10, 2013 a Annette Court resident reported the theft of jewelry from the residence. The resident believed a guest at the residence took the items because he asked to be taken to Cashland in Chillicothe on the way back to Crooksville, Ohio. Detectives were able to recover the stolen jewelry from Cashland and traveled to Crooksville where the “guest” confessed to the theft. July 11, 2013 at 4:34PM, a West Main Street resident discovered a canoe floating in the Little Darby and called police to report it. ODNR Officer M. Teders was called and was able to identify the owner through their computer system. The canoe belonged to a West Jefferson resident, who recovered the item. July 8, 2013 a North Hampton Street resident reported a domestic violence situation to a Lt. at the Tri county jail. That subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the husband for Domestic Violence.
