WORD !!! I think we are seeing 2 ditches that many are ending up in. There are some who in the name of defending or even pushing truth seems to lack grace in their heart and expression of faith. Many fundamentalists embodied this danger though it has influenced many. This camp is so afraid of compromising truth, instead they end up compromising or killing grace. They fail to see Jesus loved and ministered to all with a grace that brought accusation from the religious to Him. The others often react to this cold religious spirit and sometimes swing to the other error or abandoning the importance of truth in the name of honoring grace. The rightly love and honor the free flow of grace that is the heart of the gospel, but sometimes to avoid the one ditch of graceless Christianity they end up in another ditch of deciding that truth or morality does not matter at all. They think that to embody the soft heart of grace they must abandon the harder truths that Jesus or the apostles often spoke of. I think Jesus is a better model for all who have faith. Jesus was full of grace and truth, as his best friend and apostle John reminds us of. Jesus gave grace so freely and without conditions that it drove the religious mad. He ate and drank with sinners, healing, feeding, and partying with them at weddings. He even brought extra wine. The religious fundamentalists of his day accused him of compromise and called him a drunkard and glutton and a friend of sinners. They were wrong. Jesus changed peoples lives with the beauty of grace that opened their hearts for the beauty of truth. Jesus was a teacher who taught a beautiful and high way of kingdom life. He taught truth with a grace that He lived and modeled. He was grace and truth. He never abandoned truth. He never abandoned grace. He dance with grace and truth. I want to dance like Him. I want to be like Him. Awesome Nolan Clark ! Thank you !
