WORD Today 12/31/14 1Jn2:18-21 Jn1:1-18 Children, its the last hour.. now many antichrists have appeared. (1Jn2:18) These words bring us to the last day of the year. This was written by John in 90 AD when Peter, Paul & the rest of the Apostles have died, having done their work of establishing the early Church. The Apostles were the supreme authority on the life, words & mindset of Christ having lived w/ Him. Shortly before he died, John wrote the Gospel. He states that Christ is God, that we are to eat His Flesh & Blood and that He gave His mother to the Church. Then John wrote the churches that those who left the Church & contradicted the apostolic teaching were antichrists. As the year ends, lets make loyalty to Christ & His Church a new years resolution.
