WORK LESS HOURS TO BE HEALTHY AND WEALTHY A 30 hour week seems to - TopicsExpress

WORK LESS HOURS TO BE HEALTHY AND WEALTHY A 30 hour week seems to be better than a 40 hour week. Economists also believe that shorter working week does not mean less productivity from workers. Further, they argue that little time they can call their own family and friends can seriously damage health and family well-being, friendships and communities. The European researcher, Anna Coote, Head of Social Policy is of the firm opinion that no one should be made to work long and unsocial hours to make ends meet. A whole of absenteeism is attributed to stress and mental health problems arising out of working conditions and hours. This explains why Italians are happier than the Britons. Mental health problems were generally less in the Asian/African communities where leisure was never considered as undesirable.
