WORKOUT OF THE DAY: BURPEES! Burpees. They look so simple. Then you try them and youre like WHOA! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this exercise, and regularly use it to warmup. Heres why burpees rock: By combining high jumps, knee touches, squat thrusts, and pushups, with a return to standing in between each rep, the burpee is the ultimate full-body exercise. Just one seemingly simple movement challenges the muscles in your chest, arms, thighs, hamstrings, and abs. And because youre using your full body when doing burpees, its one of the best exercises to burn fat. Exercise Protocol: Do 3-5 sets of 10 burpees FIT TIP: Make your burpees more challenging (i.e. burn more calories) by adding in a push up like I do when you go back down into the plank position after the knee touch jump. No doubt, this exercise is for the books. Will def make you sweat!
